FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How long have you been a financial planner?
I joined the financial services industry with Interactive Planning Corp in Cincinnati in December 2000. Working as an apprentice for Robert Hellebush for the first few years, I obtained my Ohio insurance license and Series 7 and 63 securities licenses in 2001, and also my Series 24 securities license in 2002.
Becoming a full-time financial advisor and planner in 2004 allowed me to form my own client relationships. I joined Securities Service Network in 2006 as an independent advisor. My desire was to continue my financial education and I studied and passed the examination to earn my Certified Financial Planner™ designation in 2013. Today I am an independent advisor and planner with OSAIC Wealth, Inc. and part of the regional affiliation Queen City Financial Advisors in downtown Cincinnati led by Charles Hais.
How did you choose the financial planning profession?
People and finances have been a lifelong fascination for me. I love interacting with people and learning their passions, motives, and goals. Money and finances are integral to everyone and I developed a skill for understanding the deep intersection between human behavior and money.
Helping individuals and families make sound financial choices became my calling. I am eternally grateful to be part of this wonderful profession.
Where is your office?
My office is located at 4240 Airport Rd. across the street from the old Lunken Airport Terminal. I have a beautiful view of the airport and runways for my clients to enjoy when you visit.
Who do you help?
Most of my years as a financial professional have been serving individuals and families over the age of 50 planning for retirement. Building a lifetime of income and establishing a sound estate plan are typically the top two goals.
Specifically, I serve blended families and newly single investors due to divorce, death, and other life events. My years of experience with these groups have developed my knowledge for building a financial plan unique to these circumstances. I guide these clients to protect and grow their assets and tackle questions they may have not even considered.
What services do you offer?
As a Series 7 and 63 licensed advisor and CFP®, I primarily utilize stock mutual funds for my investor clients to accomplish their retirement and income planning goals.
I help establish various types of IRAs as funding vehicles from 401(k)'s, 403(b)'s, and other pre- and post-tax accounts. These strategies can be employed by investing in a single mutual fund or my advisory services utilizing several stock mutual funds.
For individuals seeking lifetime income and principal protection for their investments, I also offer a variety of annuities to meet these needs. For families looking to plan, I offer Asset-Map financial planning to measure your retirement, insurance, and college planning goals.
Are you taking on new clients?
Yes! I add a select number of new clients each year that I believe I can help with their financial landscape for the rest of their lives.
